MY TAKE ON “SLAY THE MONSTER”

SLAY THE MONSTER

-ANDY FRISELLA

Slaying the Monster is the reference

The monster is that voice in your head, that image and perspective of yourself that stops you from progressing with fake reason. We all have this, society plays a part, our emotions such as anxiety and fear. Slaying the Monster is about overcoming this feeling taking that next step into accomplishment. It’s normal for people to have days where “they don’t feel like doing the things they are supposed to do” we all struggle, dread getting out of bed. However, what really plays into having that Monster to begin with? Well, it is explained that most of us have this monster because we are avoiding certain tasks that we should be working on, and instead of working on them we put them off and try and maneuver ourselves to work on other tasks that are not priority. Learning to take care of these things as they cross our paths will bring about that freedom we seek. It is necessary to identify what that “monster” is “the problem” and slay it. Unless we take care of these issues, we end up making them into something that will suck all the individual’s positive energy because they’re too busy worrying about the insignificance of others. We all know that once we accomplish a task there’s a certain high that come from the aftermath.

Summed up: Next time you’re feeling anxiety, anger, depression, etc. Analyze your current state. What monster “problem” is it, that you are putting aside that YOU know you should be tackling head on. Make it a habit.
